Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parent Meetings or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parent and Community Consultation

We value the strong partnership between our school and families and believe that working together leads to the best outcomes for students. While we do not have a formal P&C or school council, we hold parent meetings each term with our school executive team.

These meetings provide an open forum where parents are kept up to date on school plans, priorities, and finances. They are also a chance for families to contribute their ideas, raise questions, and share feedback on school initiatives. Fundraising opportunities and community projects are also discussed, allowing parents to play an active role in shaping the life of our school.

We welcome and encourage all families to take part in these conversations. By working together, we ensure our school continues to grow as a place where every child is supported, challenged, and celebrated.Description here 1

Community Liaison Officer (CLO)

Our Community Liaison Officer plays a vital role in supporting our school to build a vibrant, tolerant, and harmonious community. They work closely with students, families, and staff to develop approaches that improve social, emotional, health, and educational outcomes for all students.

The Community Liaison Officer acts as a bridge between the school and families, helping to ensure that every family feels welcomed, heard, and supported. They assist parents and carers by providing information about school programs, helping to address any concerns, and facilitating clear communication between families and school staff. This includes offering translation support or cultural guidance when needed, so that all families can fully engage with the school community.

In addition to supporting families, the Community Liaison Officer organises events and initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity and promote inclusion, helping students and families feel connected and valued. They also link families with external services such as health, counselling, and social support networks to ensure students receive the help they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Through their work, the Community Liaison Officer contributes significantly to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed socially, emotionally, and academically.
